This morning, Newsclip hosted the final leg of it’s quarterly seminars at the Bryanston Country Club. Amy Linnell of the Marketing Strategy department gave attendees insight into how to engage with the social media space properly. The key lies in both the quality and quantity of your efforts – one needs to be actively involved from the outset in terms of regularly updating their newsfeeds and responding to customers’ queries, while developing good quality, reciprocal relationships. Linnell also expanded on the dangers of social media that one should be aware of, and emphasised the importance of using both push and pull technologies in accessing information. Newsclip’s MD, Simon Dabbs, rounded off the session by fielding questions from the audience and sharing his own experiences with ‘now’ media.
