While Facebook alone is engrossing to most users, the Scrabulous application has proven quite addictive to some.
Since the application’s launch, Facebook users have passed countless hours playing Scrabulous, which Scrabble’s owners have tried to shut down. There is, of course, a ‘Save Scrabulous’ petition group on the social network.
However, all is not lost, as EA Games is developing a legitimate version of Scrabble to be launched on Facebook soon.
I think it’s fantastic that members of the Millenial Generation, known for their appalling spelling- littered with acronyms and sms-style MXit-speak, are spending some of their spare time on a game that demands accurate spelling!
